november 08 - The skilled workers selection and systems and machinery installation have begun

The signing of the agreement in March between Opacmare and Canadian Governmentsignaled the go-ahead for the installation of systems and machinery destined to produce components and accessories in stainless steel and aluminium for the pleasure boat market. The equipment is being installed and the laser cutting machine with automatic systems for loading/unloading acquired from the Italian PRIMAIndustrie will be up and running by the end of the year.
Selections have begun for approximately 80 skilled workers who are following special training courses in the Italy Headquarters.

The new production site, an 87,000 square-foot (8,000mq) facility 1,000 of which are dedicated to the offices, is situated in the Prince Edward Island,  north of Maine and Nova Scotia, holding a perfect geographical position for the efficient transportation of goods.
Opacmare has materialized its commitment to being present on the American market with this investment and will soon begin production at the new facility which, when running at full regime, is expected to parallel production at the Rivalta facility in Italy, producing the full range of nautical accessories in steel and aluminium (doors, davits, gangways, swim ladders, hatchways, stern platforms and other smaller components).

Opacmare Americas LLC has had a sales and service centre in Fort Lauderdale (Florida) since 2004 and now, with an upcoming production site in Canada, will be closer to their American customers and be able to cut down on delivery times and production costs.
